In Avid, you mark an in and an out point and can immediately see how much time (in minutes, seconds and frame) is between those points. I find this really handy, but don’t see anything like that in Premiere. It is very handy to not have to do math, when someone quickly says, how long is it between that point and that point? Does Premiere not have anything like this?

sure. mark your in and out and then look at the “Program” pane and in the lower right corner you will see your time in min/sec/frames.
Or you can also select a clip and hit “Mark Selection” and you will get the duration of that clip. very handy.

You can find this in the record-monitor. The counter right below the screen gives you the desired information.

You can also see the duration of the selected clip in the info tab, if you’re using that.
