Probably need to transcode the files which aren’t ProRes to ProRes… conform the sequence and try it again.

My guess is that it’s having trouble with one of the render files or one of the stock files… might re render it all. None of it was prores to begin with, right?

You can set HDV to be captured as ProRes through Firewire… as it comes in.

Sure, select the clip with the filters you want to copy and type cmd +c to copy it. Then select all the clips you want to add the filters to and right click on one of them to select “Paste Attributes”. Copy just the filters…

The Log and Transfer of H.264 files isn’t supported in FCP’s Log and Transfer window directly without the use of the Canon Plugin for it:
Choose the Mac OS, and download “EOS MOVIE Plugin-E1 for Final Cut Pro Ver1.1”
Gotta say though, most folks are using MPEG Streamclip, or Compressor or other compression software for this and not using the Canon plug in for whatever reason.

I meant are both 7.0.3? This was reported about a week ago here I think too… Bet there’s a bug between certain versions of FCP, and/or certain CPU’s, OR someone needs to perform a clean install…

Capture the HDV AS ProRes, and all your problems will be diminished greatly.

No setting I know of would cause this permanently… so it’s not that.
Sounds to me like the project file is getting corrupted, or isn’t from the exact same versions? of FCP 7?
