Actually, you might be able to do this… but seems to me that the system running 5.0.1 should simply be updated… it’s free and it contains some bug fixes…

Keep the source sequence if you do this exported with black in the middle file… you can re create the export again if necessary someday..

I can’t imagine that it wouldn’t be that way. Might ask Panasonic for true verification.? There’s only one TC generator I’m figuring for both recordings.
Is this to be a camera purchase?

It’s likely a problem with FCP… not utilizing the BM card’s inputs.

Don’t know why it won’t work that way, but you could just take the output of the mixer to the line input of your mac… I’ll bet that works OK.

Down the line… there is a way to keep that on then off then on camera in the same multiclip… put it in sync for it’s start, then add an edit where it stopped. Drag that portion later, fill the hole on that track with slug. Then export that track only as a self contained QT movie… reimport that file and use it. What will happen is that it will just go black during the time it wasn’t recording.

What’s the format of the video, and how did you “re-sync” the camera angle? How many total angles?
Also post the OS, QT, FCP versions you are running.
