    Todd,

Put a track below the slides and insert a black (or any color) generated solid under each slide. Instead of inserting a new solid each time, strech it out and keep cutting of a new piece to put under the next slide.

    Nigel,

I’m using the 32 GB SDHC cards. They work great! Cheap too. 174 minutes each at best res/bitrate.
I do think the cameras are a bit noisy and I run light noise reduction on almost everything. I also touch up the blacks in post.

    Danny,

Select project settings for DVD. Put your video on the timeline, crop, pan and whatever editing you want to do, then render using the DVD architect template for video and Stereo AC3 for the audio.

    Richard,

I just got 3 Sony HXR-NX5U Cameras. I am really pleased. They are a little above your stated range.
But I would say worth it. We looked at a lot of cameras!

    Ralph,

Are you using any NewBlue plugins (audio or video)?

I have had this problem this week after upgrading essentials 1-4. My systems were rock solid.

I’ll agree with the others, especially on the music part. If you want to use this as a broadcast commercial, shorten it to 1:00. Put an 8 frame fade at start and end so you go from black to black.

See the double arrow on the left of the screen? Click on it until it becomes a 4-way arrow.

    Matt,

I’ve never heard this one before. Have you tried a re-install?
There’s not too much to worry about when re-installing. You’re third party plugins should make it through, presets and fx packages too.

You can check if it is related to computer power by rendering a section and playing it back. Try “Build dynamic RAM preview” on the tools menu (shift-b). You may want to increase the RAM set aside for RAM previews in Options|Preferences|video tab.
