That generally sounds like what I figured was happening but that certainly isn’t anything you would try manually…lol. I’m sure a good script writer could figure a way to do this in Vegas with lots of tracks… one for each vertical row of pixels… can vegas handle 1440 tracks? LOL..

I don’t know but I’d love to see this effect in a plugin. I have BCC8 and it’s got some temporal effects but nothing like this.

What about a copy and paste the pan/crop key frames? Copy once, move to next event, place curser on keyframe timeline, and paste?

Did Sony explain why you should turn off GPU? Do you have an incompatible or trouble-prone card?

January 4, 2013 at 2:50 am in reply to: How to make title text appear at different times? There’s probably several ways to do it. But if you are concerned about making new layers, you could create your title and mask out all the words you don’t want to show right away. On the first keyframe that comes with the mask, right click and set it to “hold.” Then create a key frame for the mask where you want the first word to appear (it should inherit the “hold”). Adjust the mask shape to reveal the first word. Do the same for the remaining words.

The latest BCC release for Vegas is 8.1 and is supposed to fix the problem. Though I have not had time to test it myself. This is Boris’s release note:
“Implemented workaround for a host problem specific to Vegas 11.683 with parameters appearing to be disabled when they shouldn’t be or with point pickers controls failing to open. A side effect of this fix is that controls are never enabled/disabled in BCC effects in Vegas 11.683.”

What Grazie said… that’s what I’d do.

October 4, 2012 at 3:06 am in reply to: Vegas blending modes – why are they different than in photoshop?I may not be fully understanding the effect you want from your description, but did you try achieving the effect you want by using the gradient generated media’s key frames? Leave the track mode to its normal setting and adjust the transparency or gradient size to achieve your effect.
