Also fonts can sometimes cause issues, if you’ve installed a new one?

It could be the codec that’s unsupported. Try converting it in Media Encoder to a h.264 codec and see if that fixes it

You could try precomping all the comps then set the motion blur on that one main comp.

I just tried a rough test and got a similar effect by converting text to masks to animate in sections of the letters, then added the griddler effect. Knocking the rotation by +1.0º gives it the offset look and then play around with the text opacity. Only did a quick test but hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Eric. I think you may be right! I’ve tried everything – setting the keyframes then rebooting.. Nothing has worked. I have to say I’m pretty disappointed with the software in regards to how many bugs it has..

Thanks Mark. I tried your suggestions but they don’t seem to be fixing the problem. It’s strange as the ‘position’ keyframes work fine, it’s only the ‘trim’ keyframes that don’t seem to be working!

Hi Aaron,

I went ahead and used the terminal option that I found and it worked perfectly. I’m always a bit dubious about putting things into terminal, but it did sort out the problem and I have had no issues as a result. I’ll add the link below.
