Sorry, I know this is very very late. But I just happened to stumble upon this.
To answer your question, that image was made of two passes of MIR with the settings duplicated between the two layers. However, I think this overlay feature (wireframe over phong) is in the upcoming version of MIR.

Hi folks! I am one of the developers involved in Universe, and I just wanted to chime in with some genuine gratitude about all the kind things you’ve been saying about Universe so far. It’s actually been more well received than I thought it would! It’s easy to sit back and pick apart effects and plugins without considering the mammoth undertaking that it can be. Getting the sliders and dials all tweaked… getting things working accurately in all bit depths… having your glows work well with alpha or non-alpha images. And then, it actually needs to look good. So, I am thrilled that everything has mostly been positive so far. It bodes well for versions 1.1 and beyond!
That said, we are really interested in feedback, ideas, suggestions, etc. Feel free to hit us up on Twitter at @redgiantnews or me specifically at @graymachine. (I wrote Chromatic Glow, Diffuse Glow, GloFi, Glow Highlights, RGB and Prism Displacement, so you know where to complain to about those.)
Thanks again. And don’t be a stranger!

But.. it sure would be nice of you to donate to the hard working folks that make this stuff for the community.
And also, just so you know.. the Trapcode Suite doesn’t include Planespace.

If you want the Alphas to add together, set the blending modes to “Alpha Add”

I just wanted to chime in really quickly here. My title, Making It Look Great #3 is not a ProAnimator title. Although ProAnimator is a very powerful tool, there is no use of ProAnimator anywhere in any of the lessons. It is meant as a full broadcast design lesson. I did create a free tutorial for ProAnimator users to allow them to adapt the settings I did in Invigorator to the ProAnimator interface, and that is the extent of the connection to ProAnimator.
Other topics include working with color palettes, typography, in-depth exploration of the AE type animation tools, Trapcode Particular, Trapcode Form, AE Expressions, and a whole lot more. Just wanted to clear that up and say thanks to Robyn for the very kind words.
I also do onsite training with clients, or can offer a classroom setup in a local Adobe training center here in the Detroit area (motown = motion town!!).

You can also use the camera tools on any other view. Perhaps you could set “Custom View 1” to the wide view. Even an Orthographic view like “Front” can use the Track Z tool to expand to a wider view.
A handy trick is to use the Esc key to toggle back and forth between the last two camera views. So you could have comp camera and the wide view easily accessed with one key.

What about using a toComp expression? There’s a perfect reference on Dan’s site:
https://www.motionscript.com/mastering-expressions/lst-lens-flare.html
then you could parent the null, not the solid.

Make sure your client understands that it’s not a matter of the software being limited to a specifc graphic format or particular file extension (like TIF vs GIF). It’s what is IN the file that matters.
Illustrator artwork is vector based, which means it is made of points and lines connecting those points in space. Formats like JPG or TIF are bitmaps. The image is made of individual pixels that make up an image. So, vector artwork and bitmap images are apples and oranges, and do not differ by just a file extension.
The reason ProAnimator needs a vector file, just like ALL other 3D programs, is that it simply needs vector information to create 3D geometry.

For the letters use a Simple Choker and animate the choke, maybe mixed with some blue.
