make layers get bigger with another layer’s proximity
I was wondering if anyone can help with this.
I want to set up a relationship between two or more layers where a layer stationary or moving gets bigger the closer another layer gets to it in position. A good analogy would be the Genie effect in OS X “Dock”. So in other words, there’s a bunch of static layers on screen, for instance, and one layer that moves around. When the moving layer get close to the other layers they get bigger and when it goes away, they get smaller.
Actually Would like to know how to control rotation with this method as well. I have a client who wants a iTunes cover flow look, and I thought the easiest way would be to set up a null that other layers are moving past which causes them to react in the appropriate way.
thx,
