I would hope they’d fix FinalCut Studio 2 before they do a 3. The last year has been agonizing. I am afraid to do updates anymore. It seems like anytime they do come out with an update I end of having to reinstall the old version.

I was having a lot of ‘popping’ noises with the Version 4 driver. When I updated to 5.1 it seemed to have solved the problem. I’m running Tiger, becuase I was having too many issues with Leopard.

I would avoid Leopard at all costs. I did a clean upgrade to Leopard. Final Cut pro would not open my old projects. I would actually get an error stating ‘This project is too new’. I am in the process now of reinstalling Tiger from Scratch. I’m pretty much wasting my entire day.

I deleted all my receipts and I was still not able to reinstall 7.2. I have now reinstalled the operating system and reinstalled Quicktime 7.2. After doing this none of the Final Cut Studio Applications would open so I’m reinstalling them as well.
THIS STUPID LITTLE UPDATE 7.3 HAS COST ME QUITE A BIT OF TIME AND MONEY TODAY. APPLE NEEDS TO MAKE AN EASY WAY TO UNINSTALL THEIR APPLICATIONS!!!!!!!!!!

I tried reinstalling 7.2 but it says that I can’t because there is a newer version. I tried to uninstall by removing the 7.3 elements but I still can’t. Now I’m really screwed because I don’t have Quicktime on my computer and I can’t install 7.2 becuase it says that I do. Any Advice!

The only way to get them to show up is to boot up CS3 in Rosetta mode. This is because trapcode is not universal binary.

Thank you Robert for responding. It’s great to see a company that uses these threads to see what real users are saying about their products. This says a lot about a company. I’m very happy with my Digi-Effects plug-ins and can’t wait to see what the new and improved company has to offer.

I see that they’ve updated the drivers for the Kona3 so I’m sure it won’t be long for a io update.
