I’m in agreement Walter. I started out on a ‘Video Toaster’, switched to ‘Video Cube’, switched to Media 100, switched to Avid, switched to Final Cut Pro, etc. I think editing is a state of mind. The tools are there just to help you help bring your vision to life. I’m actually pretty excited about what all the manufacturers are doing. I think switching it up helps keep us editors on our toes and not stay too stagnant. I’ll probably end up with Final Cut Pro 7, Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro, Avid, After Effects, etc. on my box. I think its smart to stay well versed in all the software.
