I would do that but it’s faster and easier to just click OK when Vegas gives me the error…that would be different if it remembered my preference but it seems it doesn’t after trying it.
    Thanks any way,
    Randy

Oh yes you’re right they are the .sfl files…I have been opening files with the open command (and there is no view all files option) so I’ll just use explorer as you suggest.
    Thanks very much,

FWIW, I’ve found that if I use the “Batch Render” script to render the video and audio streams, the markers don’t get saved. Weird.

Yessir, I gave up using batch render if I need markers after saving a custom template with “include markers” checked…weird indeed that it doesn’t work.

Then again, considering how LITTLE time an audio render takes, it’s not a big deal to do separate video/audio renders…

    Thanks everyone,

No, they can’t cancel each other out.
    Double check & render again.

    I’m rendering now

Still, remember the proper way to render for
DVD is to render out the video and audio
separately, giving them the same name eg:
    https://www.custcenter.com/cgi-bin/sonypictures.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?...

Been doing it that way for years
Thanks again Steve…I’ll let you know the results of the new render

Yes sir they are there..I guess I’ll try to re-render the whole thing again but I’m positive I had it checked. That said I do want to have it checked for the .ac3 too right? I mean they can’t cancel each other out or anything can they?
    Thanks again Steve,

Thanks for the quick reply Steve…I’m not sure what you mean but when I open the mpg (without the .ac3) in Vegas…no sir, I do not see the markers.
What should that tell me? I feel sure I checked the include markers box before rendering….but I’ve been wrong before.
    Thanks again Steve,

This drive is reporting lots of errors ….it must be going south because the files I tried to move locked everything up. Some of the files are just back up for other drives but some are the originals and not backed up elsewhere.
I’ll be trying to recover some imporatnt files after breakfast…wish me luck : (
    Any suggestions are welcome

    Thanks very much,
    Randy

    UPDATE:
In an effort to save files I hooked the external drive to a laptop and now successfully saving files.
Could this be some kind of software issue?
Seagate states that it uses Windows drivers but it has drive management software …unfortunately it states it is 32 bit only in big bold letters.
    Any advice appreciated,
    Randy
