Windows 7 weirdness
With a finished project in 8.0c running Win 7 RC, I select Dolby Digital ac3 Pro (Stereo DVD template) and about 60% through the render I get an error stating:
An error occured while creating the media file… the item was not found.
Item was not found??? huh???
Any thoughts?

EDIT: I just tried to render to MPG2 (DVDA template) and I immediately get File not found. Check the file name and try again
What the hell is going on?….what is it trying to open?? -

could it be the fact that you are using a beta operating system? I’ve seen Windows 7 do some strange things on a co-workers laptop that we can attribute to an operating system that’s not quite ready for primetime… Your mileage may vary. Good luck.

This drive is reporting lots of errors ….it must be going south because the files I tried to move locked everything up. Some of the files are just back up for other drives but some are the originals and not backed up elsewhere.
I’ll be trying to recover some imporatnt files after breakfast…wish me luck : (

In an effort to save files I hooked the external drive to a laptop and now successfully saving files.
Could this be some kind of software issue?
Seagate states that it uses Windows drivers but it has drive management software …unfortunately it states it is 32 bit only in big bold letters.
Any advice appreciated,
