Hey Danny,
This is getting more and more confusing the more I research…over at the “other forum” they were suggesting BMD Intensity pro. I went to B&H and found it bundled with Cineform Neo Scene https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/667640-REG/Blackmagic_Design__Intensity_Pro_with_Cineform.html
Can you tell me the difference in these two products/conversion techniques…like I was a 6 year old please.
Thanks,
Randy
If those questions aren’t dumb enough I have another:
They gave me a hard copy “general information” sheet that wants the tape log to include ins and outs for each segment.
Since this will be delivered on mini-DV (I used to submit on DVD) I’m guessing those in/out times are going to be including the time it takes to make the bar tone slate etc.
IOW the show is to be 4 segments (approximately 00:06:07 each) with three 10 second black sections inserted for ads.
Let’s say the first break did occur at 00:06:07 of the actual show and I had 3 minutes of bar, tone etc prior to that. Would my in be listed as 3 minutes and my out be listed as 00:09:07 or do I disregard anything prior to the actual start of the show?
Thanks for your patience guys,
Randy
Thanks Ayla,
You’re right, Sound Forge would be a much better tool than Vegas for this but I know a lot of Vegas users use SF also. I posted over at the SF forum and only got 1 response.
I would very much appreciate you taking a look and seeing what you can do.
Thanks,
Randy
Bob, the clip was only 14 seconds…not sure why the player showed different.
I have posted another section titled “conversation 2” that shows a section where I have no idea what is being said.
The problem is that out of the full 00:25:44 you can only understand a few words here and there. The sample I posted is one of those places.
Thanks guys,
Randy
The client initially brought over the .FLV version of the file. I said I had no software to convert it and he said no problem that he would convert it and these .AVIs are what I got. As I understand it, there is freeware to convert flv to avi….maybe I should just do that?
Thanks John!
