I’m still on XP Pro 32 and this is still an issue with Arial.

November 23, 2010 at 7:07 pm in reply to: applying bezier mask to entire track?

Masking is a generic term appplied to what we might do by applying an adjustment layer. However Bezier Masking and the compositing Track Masking options aren\’t the same. BM allows us to cutaway, crop asymmetrical shapes from an Event. TM allows us to alter the actual appearance or pixels AND in reference to the layers below. The only thing these two functions, controls share is the word Masking.

Ok, if iwas doing this I would experoment with using the ability that Vegas has to import a whole Vegas project into another Vegas project – it then gets treated as a pure
piece of media which you can THEN apply your BM straight off.

You could also try Copy>Paste Event Attributes, but you may find it too restrictive.

    What are your CPU specs?

    What are you rendering from?

What are your project settings? Do they reflect your media on your timeline?

What settings have you got for your wmv?

Do you mean an outline? Are you wanting to do this to emphasise your text from the background? I use a very faint shadow – which you can add.

    Using VP10 or 9?

Create 2 regions 10mins each and then use Batch Render Script (Tools)
, select Region and you\\\’ll end up with what you want.

Alf, this why I invited you to read the white paper:
“There are virtually no enhancements I can tell other than that to 10.0, except 3d which is not worth a dime to me personally.”

Nah Doesn’t work on Close<>Reopen. Proxies have to be re-rendered. Waste of time.

Oh well, it was an idea.

Here’s an unorthodox, off-the-wall, approach – no warranties on what this will do to Media Manager!

Within the SAME veg import the SAME veg back into itself and then add the Velocity Envelope? I just did it, and it does work. What this means is that you don’t need to open another instance – which is what I have always done – but thought this through a bit more and came up with my/this “sideways” approach.
