I’ve got a project that has already been cut. I’m now trying to make a slow motion montage using this project. I would like to add an event velocity envelope of 70% to all the clips (there are a lot). The only way I know how is to create an insert the envelope on one clip and then paste the attributes to all the rest. My problem is that I’ve applied various other effects (CC and Levels) to the clips. So if I paste attributes the previous applied effects go away or get messed up. Is there a way to just paste the event velocity at the set percentage? THANKS!

You open another instance of vegas then nest your first project.
Atfer it’s easy to apply a velocity envelop.

Here’s an unorthodox, off-the-wall, approach – no warranties on what this will do to Media Manager!

Within the SAME veg import the SAME veg back into itself and then add the Velocity Envelope? I just did it, and it does work. What this means is that you don’t need to open another instance – which is what I have always done – but thought this through a bit more and came up with my/this “sideways” approach.

Nah Doesn’t work on Close<>Reopen. Proxies have to be re-rendered. Waste of time.

Oh well, it was an idea.

Another way to slow down your clips:
    1) Press Ctrl+A to select all events
    2) Press G to group them
    3) Hold down the Ctrl key and drag the right edge of the rightmost event to slow down (drag to the right) or speed up (drag to the left)
