  • bug in text generator?

Posted by Gilles Gagnon on November 25, 2010 at 10:11 pm

Something really annoying is happening and am wondering if it’s a bug. I’m on Vegas 9 Pro.

I use the text generator, type some text, select it and change the font to see which one I like best using the down-arrow.

However, After going down the list for a dozen or so fonts, the “next” font refuses to appear. I need to click on the font drop-down box again and begin “browsing” again until it stops again.

Is there a way around this silliness?

What OS are you using? I don’t have this problem on Windows 7 64-bit with either Vegas Pro 9.0e or 10.0a but I do remember it from when I used Windows XP. There are some font families that don’t change the face but they don’t change if I select them in the drop down either. I can continue to click through them and the next font outside that family starts displaying again and they continue from there. I can arrow down through my entire font collection.

    Gilles,

had the same problem when I was on Vista. It would stop and refuse to go until I clicked on the next one. It happens on all the unicode fonts, like Arial. I guess it was fixed in Windows 7.

I’m still on XP Pro 32 and this is still an issue with Arial.

Thanks to all for your comments.

Thanks Jeff… I won’t be searching high and low for a solution. I’ll just have to live with the annoyance or check my font look in another app.
    Cheers

    Perhaps I should have asked…

Now that the problem has been confirmed, does anyone have a solution to this problem?
