I’m unclear, have they blown you an omf with embedded media?, if so just drag and drop it into a bin and it should import the embedded media and create a seq already linked to that media. If they’ve just copied the media files across then the sequences should relink, check you’re selecting all media drives, and don’t select “only media from current project”.

to save time, playout to tape, wild, no remote, tod code, the whole sequence, at as fast a speed as your set up will allow, prob 4x, then diditise back in off the same vt, running backwards etc, proably more realistic, and effectiwely faster than real time!

yep, it does actually open the audio tool, and from here you access the output routing, direct/mono/stereo…actually

don’t think you’ll get anywhere closer than ctl 1.

there’s no direct equivelant, either zoom down the time line and lasoo everything and then drag, or if you’r at a butt join, just splice in a bit of filler, or whatever’s in your source monitor but with the tracks deselected. If you need to move it by a specific amount then just pop in a frame of filler hit trim/source and type in the duration of the gap you’re trying to create, sounds cumbersome, but if you know your keyboard you’ll have done it before you can say final cut pro!

try dropping all the syncs, the dv will try to ref to whatever input you’ve selected, though you may have to check this in the menu. Time base corrector or synchroniser is a better bet thouh!

always sensible to dupe the sequence first, if you want to consolidate before blowing an omf then the considate window should give you the option whether to delete origional media files or not, general best not to, you may find you’ve used media from within another project which you neeed to keep, best manually delete clips via the media tool or at bin level…
