Preparing video for network broadcast
Hello
I run a small video production company and we were hired to do some “B-roll” footage for a client that is going to be distributed via newswire to all of North America. We are a small company that has only done training and promo videos until now. My question is: what do I need to include on te tape for broadcast distribution? I have heard that you need 1 minute of bars & tone, anything else? Or do I just put in the bars and tone and then launch right into the interview/b-roll footage from there?Please help if you can

Since its B-Roll and you were not given any specific instructions…
Bars & Tone- (30 to 60 sec.)
Slate- with Title of shot/event, date recorded or edited, and running time.
(and YOUR contact info, if you like)Program material- (B-Roll)
There are as many ways of doing this as there are “opinions”.
Without any specifics, just do it.

BARS + TONE/STEREO GLITS – 1 MIN
yOUR ANN POP A BLACK BAND ACROSS THE MIDDLE OF THE BARS ON WHICH YOU COULD ADD TEXT STATING…a WHAT TYPE OF BARS, 75% OR 100%
B REFERENCE LEVEL FOR TONE EG TONE AT -18DBS30 SEC COUNDOWN CLOCK WITH A FULL FRAME OF WHITE AT -10 SECS.
BLACK FOR THE LAST 3 SECONDS OF CLOCKTEXT STATING
a. CLIENT NAME
B PRODUCTION NAME
C SPECIFIC TITLE
D PRODUCTION No or job numberDUR IN MINS AND WHOLE SECONDS
FORMAT – 4/3 16/9FHAYOUR FACILITY NAME AND ADDRESS ETC
