project from another avid
hello,
I am taking over a project from another post house. they sent me the project files and the omfi files. i got to open the project, but all the media is offline. how do i go about making them online again. i tried relinking but maybe i am doing it wrong. both machines are Xpress pro hd.

Make sure that the OMF files are in the MediaFiles folder and the MXF files are in the Avid Mediafiles folder just as they were in the originating system.

I’m unclear, have they blown you an omf with embedded media?, if so just drag and drop it into a bin and it should import the embedded media and create a seq already linked to that media. If they’ve just copied the media files across then the sequences should relink, check you’re selecting all media drives, and don’t select “only media from current project”.
