If you didnt have the issue before and it started at some point, I can assume that a clean installation will fix this issue. Is there a chance that Maxon can provide a 64bit installer? Or to download it from somewhere.

When you open Cinema 4D, does this bug trigger instantly?
Or, do you have to do something in order for your icons to change to this?
Have you tried a clean reinstallation of Cinema 4D? On the top right there is a layout button. If you change the layout, does it fix your issue?

Hello, I can think of an approach but it is hard to describe in text. Can you share your cinema 4d file?
I dont think that everything can be baked. There is no option to bake linear fields apart from the cache tag and I am not sure if it can calculate your linear fields correctly. I can try though.

I had once a problem like this, but it turned out that was a problem with the folder permission. I had to reformat my system to fix it. What I did to solve my issue back then was to save all my Cinema 4D renders to C: directly. I never got an issue till the format.

Actually the best way is by using “User Data”. I just thought that it would be easier using nulls for the first time. Anyway, just select something to add user data and as you see in my image you can add user data. There you can name your data, select the type of your data and many more. I have modified the same file but this time using user data. You can check the differences and use whatever suits you best.

Actually what you want exists and its called Xpresso.
Its a little more advanced, so you might need to carefully see it, in order to replicate it. (Its like nodes)
I have set up you scene like you requested. There is a cube in the scene named “Change States”.
1) When the cube is disabled its your 1st state. (closed doors and lights 50%)
When the cube is enabled its your 2nd state. (opened doors and lights 100%)
2) You will notice some extra files inside. Dont delete them.
The name 0.5 of the 1st null is the 50% intensity. By renaming it to 0.3, you will change the intensity to 30%. Also by changing the R. H., you change the degrees for your door. (0 degrees for closed door)
3) Also on the cube there is an expresso tag. If something breaks, it will deactivate.

This is the V-Ray version. Place the V-Ray.c4d inside the folder with your textures and you should be good to go.
Exact same thing can be achieved with a node material.
Both this and the physical version uses the same .hdr file. This is just for preview.

This is the Physical version.
There is no reason to reupload your files. So do these steps:
1) Create a folder and place all your textures inside.
2) Place also my .c4d file + .hdr file inside your folder and it should work fine.
Obviously there are differences cause I guess your files were created with a different program/render engine. Also the lighting is different.
The V-Ray version will come shortly.
