I use a black magic Design internal board HDMI-ed to a flatscreen actual TV.

Have the same setup. Blackmagic selected in prefs. TV screen in use. Save & close project. Next time you open VP your screen should be TV screen via BM should be ready to use active. If not displaying look for button top left above preview window. It toggles external screen on/off.

Your current version is VP17 and you are offered VP18. What is the problem?
Prior to the release of VP18 a similar offer comprised VP17 ‘now’ with VP18 to follow complete with SF14. VP18 is now released so maybe no extra VP17.

Can you not open DVDA, set up your project defaults and then save that profile. eg BD 60i template or DVD 60i template.
When you come to make a DVD and have prepared the files within Vegas, open the appropriate template, add your files then resave as ‘myprojectname’. Works well for self and editor. Saves a load of hassle.

R click on VP icon -> properties-> shortcut. Select advanced. Tick run as administrator. OK, Apply.

From memory .mts files came from mini dv tape based HDV camcorders.
Maybe use ‘print to file to render/create a file that could be written back to such a camcorder.

Not used this feature for a while but again from memory you could either write to tape directly or prepare a file that could be ‘printed to tape’ later. Make sure to pick HDV option.

Don’t think .mts file can be created via the render menu. If it was I never used it, simply prepared file ready for tape from menu.

Maybe Vegas.pdf might assist Instructions are still in VP17 manual so would be same in VP15

Having rendered or cropped to full HD how do you burn your BD so as to remain progressive?

Am somewhat puzzled as my understanding is that BD accepts 1080i or 720p.
1080p is not a BD standard in 60 or 50 fps. Maybe 1080p 25fps but not so good for fast action. Not a format I have used.

The good news is that the GoPro 2K7 is progressive. Simply render out to a standard MainConcept MPEG2 BD 1280x720P template. (video stream). Render out the audio as ac3pro or similar. Add files to DVDA and it should be accepted. Let your TV do the upscaling to 1920×1080. It will look fine. Never fails in PAL land.

BD standards are 1280x720p or 1920x1080i 50fps in PAL or 59.97 in NTSC land.
Make sure your timeline properties match your clips/files.

Reading the VP-Pro & DVDA manuals suggests that your chapter markers can be written & read.
Vegas Pro14 (ctrl F chapter markers) page 231 gives instructions and implies DVDA imports/uses these markers.
DVDA 5.2 manual Page 82 details how to add chapter markers, from memory these come in from your project files, (m2v)(.ac3) provided you checked the box in the render spec coming out of VP16.

Stayed with DVDA5.2. I recall DVDA7 had problems with BD’s/ac3pro

Maybe just increment your saved veg file ‘myproject1.veg’, myproject2.veg etc.
