When I open my Vegas Pro Edit 17 I get a popup that says I can upgrade to Vegas Pro 18 (not the “Edit” version) which includes Sound Forge 14 for $199. But when I click on “Upgrade Now” the version changes to Vegas Pro Edit 18. This popup clearly advertises Vegas Pro 18 upgrade for $199. Why are they switching it? See attached photo of the popup.

Your current version is VP17 and you are offered VP18. What is the problem?
Prior to the release of VP18 a similar offer comprised VP17 ‘now’ with VP18 to follow complete with SF14. VP18 is now released so maybe no extra VP17.

The problem is they offered me the Vegas “Pro” version with extra features and SF 14 for $199. But when I click to buy it it becomes the Vegas “Edit” version without the extra features nor SF 14 for $199. They should honor the ad they sent and sell me the Vegas Pro version for $199; besides I’ve been a loyal customer of Vegas for years and will continue to be.

I told you in another forum that the offer is misleading, yes. They goofed on the text near the Mustang with the exclusion of the word ‘Edit’. But that the color-coded version SHOWN to you below that is the Edit version.

Vegas Pro 18 is Vegas Pro 18. Edit – Pro – Suite are the packages. Edit being just Vegas Pro 18 stand alone. It’s a little confusing but not intentionally misleading. And honestly vegas can probably do 95% of what soundforge can do. I first got soundforge pro in 2012 and I was excited at first, until I realized damn near everything I thought to do was also done the same way in vegas pro save for a couple things that I used once or twice and never really used the program anymore after that.

You already raised this topic in another forum and was addressed accordingly!
Yes somewhat a misunderstanding, but its not a deliberate ploy to squeeze more money out of purchasers.
