Pan crop preset will only remember one keyframe setting.
Instead, copy your keyframed event, then right-click your target event and choose Paste Event Attributes. This will copy pan/crop, FX, etc from the source event.Gary Kleiner

Project Properties > Disc Properties> Extras folder.
The file(s) you add here would be accesable via normal file access on the computer (not playing the DVD).

Hover your mouse pointer over the right edge of the event on track 2 then hold the ctrl key while you drag it left. This compresses (speeds up) the event.
Do the same to track 3 to match.
If the tracks are made up of multiple events, first select them all and hit G to group them.

If you are going for the old-school point-your-camera-at-the-monitor look, I would suggest exactly that.
Print your title to tape, play it back and shoot the monitor (assuming you have a separate camera and something else to play the tape).

Create a fade on your test event by dragging horizontally from the upper corners.
To make your text background transparent, navigate to text properties properties dialog (click on the upper button on the text event)>properties tab> Background color> slide the alpha channel adjustment all the way down.
