You will be giving us all the gift of knowledge this Christmas once you try this out! Can’t wait. By the way, happy holidays everyone!

This is an audio problem. Typically I cut the audio from the multicam sequence and paste it into the sequence where I nest the multi-camera sequence. A benefit to this is that you can adjust the audio without having to go back into the multi-cam sequence.
This problem also happens when you nest normal sequences into others. I have no idea why adobe is spending so much time in creating new features when they haven’t worked on making things better and more efficient for the features we already have. I innovating is more fun than trouble shooting.

Tim, I am experiencing this too! I can’t believe how poorly thought out this is for premiere. They butchered this in CS6 where you had to actually type the name of the file that was offline and now again it takes literally hours to relink even with the search function because I have to hold its hand and walk it along to every clip because it is blind and cannot seem to remember the structure where all the clips where kept! Atleast in premiere CS6 you only had to type in a few names and it would automatically link everything.
A quick search with spotlight finds the clip right away but premiere takes at least 30 seconds to 1-minute of searching before it pulls one clip up.
What is worst is when premiere finally finds it, it says locating media and the progress bar pushes along as if it is linking all the media, yet it takes that long to link one clip! Now I have to repeat this process again…and again…
I could go on a rant here but seriously I continue to rethink my decision in editing software when I am faced with such time wasting unprofessional unhelpful features like this one. I don’t understand how adobe premiere is implementing adobe anywhere but cannot get something so simple as efficiently linking clips. Final Cut 7’s linking was second to non and the best I have seen, but this?
You are not along in this and I am sure many others are experiencing this exact problem!
I hope there is a fix or an update soon or I may be rethinking my editing solutions and cancelling my membership as I am experiencing this and a myriad of other problems that take away hours per day of productive editing.

Hey Ryan,
Thanks for your info on this. I had a question regarding this matter. I tried to select multiple sequences to add, but Media Encoder only allows me to add one sequence at a time. When I select the sequence and add it to the cue I need to hit the + sign again in Media encoder, select the premiere project file, navigate to another sequence and add it again.
Let me know if I am missing something.
Thanks,Errol X. Lazare

July 20, 2013 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Sending Multiple Sequences to Media Encoder and Long Time “preparing data for export”?Hello Paul,
Thanks for your input. By sending, I mean exporting to media encoder from Premiere pro. I will try your idea for adding multiple sequences by importing the project file into AME.
Thanks,

Shift+T should work in premiere pro CS6. Works for me.
Check to see what your keyboard shortcuts are set to. Mine are set to Final Cut Pro keystroke.Errol X. Lazare

This seems to happen when I have a lot of cuts and edits in my project: Premiere will play for 4-5 seconds and then audio will cut out. If I stop and then start playback it will play for another 2-3 seconds and cut out again; pretty much impossible to edit. When I was editing a 6-minute clip I had to double press my space bar like 20 times to continuously re-engage the audio.
Very disappointing why there is no response from adobe on this. I am also having the same problem on 2 of my other systems which tells me that this is a software wide program glitch.
I have unfortunately not found any viable reason and fix for this ridiculous problem. It is actually virtually impossible to watch through a full video without the audio stopping. This needs be be fixed!

I am going to agree with Dan.
Premiere has good features and it is nice to not have to transcode but it is a very heavy program that seems to lag and take longer to do things that Final cut pro would do.If I were to compare premiere pro and final cut to vehicles, Premiere would be a Semi-Truck and Final Cut would be sports car. Now this comparison is for things that really annoy me as to why they take so long.
I am on a Mac Pro 12-core and these are some of the delays I am experiencing:Saving Project:
Premiere: 10-15 seconds
Final Cut: 3 SecondsPreparing to export to Media Encoder
Premiere: 1-5 minutes
Final Cut: 10 seconds to compressorExporting a 30-minute clip:
Premiere: 45-minutes
Final Cut: 10-minutesPremiere pro also asks to render when you have nested sequences while final cut doesn’t.
I could go on a rant about premiere because I am experiencing it’s clunky slowness at the moment and trying to finish a project on time…. but there are things that I still really like about it like it’s multi-camera feature, but I just wish it were faster at doing normal every day tasks. If Adobe could make it more streamlined and “lighter” then it would be the best program!
Hope that helps. The only way to know if it is right for you is to download the trial version and see how you like it. Perhaps these problems are what I am experiencing but maybe others are completely happy with premiere.
