Using Vegas Pro 10, last week I created a 16 minute slide show consisting of 247 photos with Ken Burns style movements on each photo. The timeline previewed quickly and the final result rendered fine and in a very timely manner.

I have CTRL-SHIFT-Open Vegas in the past and it DID reset it back to where Vegas would show this dialog again.

In the internal prefs, there’s an “Ask about capture app” option…

You are apparently missing the codec you had installed on the old machine that is not installed on your new machine. Do a search for “codec” and you’ll find all kinds of information.

In my opinion, here’s what happened: You downloaded and installed the CURRENT version. You then uninstalled the current version and attempted to install an older version. The simplest solution is to reinstall the current version from your initial download.

Danny, I’ve not heard of any serious issues with NewBlueFX and Vegas. If there are any issues, the first thing to do would be to make sure you are on the most current version. Then if there’s still issues, please contact NewBlue support.

Please note: Montage Magic works with photos – not video. It will detect faces and use those locations to properly determine where/how to pan/zoom on photos.

David, odds are the dialog box has been moved “off the screen” typically it is found hidden under the “Start” bar. Set the start bar to auto-hide, locate that dialog, and then drag it back to the screen. Worst case, change the screen to a higher resolution, move that window back to the middle of the screen, and then reset the screen back to its original resolution.
