Just want to be clear. You are clicking on Insert… text media? Does it appear in the middle of the screen? If you just drag it into your tabbed media box it will open up there next time you use it.

Theres 3 small buttons on the event its the top one that you use to edit the text. Its a green button. Is this what you were looking for ?

I’m having the same problem. If I click the green button icon in a text event – nothing happens. If I right click it and select ‘Edit..” nothing happens. Where is the text editor window???? Heck I can’t even get the text window to open when I first drag and drop a text event to the timeline. It used to work but now I don’t get any editing window at all. It has totally disappeared! help! Dont know if this will work, but make sure there not locked. Go to edit –> switches —> uncheck lock.

David, odds are the dialog box has been moved “off the screen” typically it is found hidden under the “Start” bar. Set the start bar to auto-hide, locate that dialog, and then drag it back to the screen. Worst case, change the screen to a higher resolution, move that window back to the middle of the screen, and then reset the screen back to its original resolution.

It was simple I have fixed it. Somehow I had managed to remove the box from site. It wasn’t hidden like you said. It was simply gone. So I just did a system restore. Quite simple.
