Need to Construct a Speedy Photo Movie
hello all…
[running Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0]
I have a project which MUST be done by thursday midnite…&
it’s a dynamic photo presentation, the type w/ moving effects on the still still photos as they appear & disappear…so…
1) was wondering: i have 250 photos; & want the movie to run about 1 hour…so…is there a quick way to add ALL my photos (back-to-back-to-back, etc.) at 15 seconds total display time each…???
1B)…(& then add the effects to the beginning & ending of that 15 seconds…???)
2) I scanned all my photos & slides in a high resolutions…so i’m hoping to set the movie up for 16/9 (wide screen). can this be done…???
3) after it’s constructed, what’s the best movie format to save in…in order to be able to display the movie on HD, LED flat screen TV’s…???

am i in trouble…!!!
i forgot what a complete slow-ass dog this program is…it freezes up, seizes up, goes blank & does everything…EVERYTHING just as sloggish as molasses rolling up hill in the winter.
big question:
if i run out tonite & gran adobe premier pro…
…does it have cool tranistion effects & scrolling titles & a similar work flow…???
i cant take it, man…i keep having to end the program & restart the program…it’ll take me a week to complete this movie at this rate.
i uninstalled…& reinstalled…

Using Vegas Pro 10, last week I created a 16 minute slide show consisting of 247 photos with Ken Burns style movements on each photo. The timeline previewed quickly and the final result rendered fine and in a very timely manner.

well folks…
now i’m really in trouble.
i moved sony vegas (8.0) from my office pc to my recording/mastering studio’s audio pc…(w/ it’s quad IV cpu & tons of RAM)
& now…after moving along quite nicely…all of a sudden the project video screen (lower right) went completely RED…& the project doesn’t repond to ANY controls…!!!…seized up tighter than a duck’s protuberance.
(just like it did on my office pc)
I rebooted the machine, but that didnt help.
(on the office pc, I uninstalled & reinstalled…& that only worked for a short bit)
really need to cure this…something is corrupting my project…please help.
