In Vegas 6 I was able to continue scrolling right until about 2/3 of the timeline was was clear after the last clip.

Add a new clip onto the timeline in that 2 second area and then you can go a couple seconds past THAT clip. What’s the purpose of going way past the last event? (just curious)

Open Vegas Capture, go to Options – Preferences, go to the Disk Management tab (it’s there), and change where you wish to capture to. Make sure you’re opening the CAPTURE preferences (i.e. inside the capture program) instead of Vegas’ preferences.

Sounds like you are moving the curson on the color correction timeline and it is creating a new keyframe at that point. Therefore, everything BEFORE the keyframe will NOT be changed (or will gradually go from the unchanged values to the changed values).

There are a lot of things “under the hood” that prevent access to those pieces of information. I do believe it will eventually be there but was not surprised to see it was not in this version. I understand your frustration and I, too, would like to have access to those features.

Yes, display the second camera, copy the image to the clipboard, and then use the split screen option that shows the clipboard. Then you can compare the second camera to the first camera.

I have frequently put 2 hours on a DVD using a bitrate around 4,825,000. Even that looks good!

How about selecting ALL the clips after that point and then moving them all at once instead of “one by one”
How about putting the cursor at the insertion point and choosing “Insert Time”
How about using Ripple Editing (may need to adjust settings so that it affects everything) to allow everything to move after the inserted clip
