So I’m inserting clips from the trimmer and adding
a fade in/out to each as i go along.

for some odd reason, vegas will not allow me to
go much more than 1 or 2 seconds (if that) beyond
the last clip in the timeline. it just won’t go any
farther. Not with the mouse or with the right arrow key.

If I close vegas than re-open it, it will then
go farther down the timeline and I can continue.

anyone know what this is about?

Add a new clip onto the timeline in that 2 second area and then you can go a couple seconds past THAT clip. What’s the purpose of going way past the last event? (just curious)

Well I don’t need to go way beyond but at times
it would not allow me have at least one second in
between the clips which I did need. I suppose I should just insert
    black intead of blank space.

It’s weird though. I mean why couldn’t anyone go
well beyond it even for no real reason? Every NLE
I know of can do that. Vegas should be able to imo.

maybe it won’t to conserve memory for realtime?
    Does V6 do this too?

In Vegas 6 I was able to continue scrolling right until about 2/3 of the timeline was was clear after the last clip.

    Interesting to know.

    thanks for the input Edward.

Vegas is such a great app I’ll just have to learn to “live with it”

    🙂
