In terms of helping you remember keystrokes, yes, these keyboards are great. I don’t particularly care for the feel of the keyboard you linked, but I’m very much liking a Bella and KeyLogic keyboard for Vegas. I like the Bella as it gives me shuttle and multicam shortcuts.

In Vegas, you simply set the PAR on the events or project.

DivX and Xvid aren’t MPEG formats.
Where are you getting the MPEGs from that don’t show up? What was used to encode them? If they’re copyrighted/protected media, they won’t show up.Douglas Spotted Eagle

If you’re only seeing text info, is it the MXF data?
When you say “files are loaded on my computer” do you mean you imported via the PDZ1 or via Vegas? Or just use FAM mode to copy all the XDCAM data over?First, I’d like to know if your Explorer is working correctly, so connect the XDCAM via iLink/firewire.
Put it in FAM mode.
In Vegas XDCAM explorer, import the disc. Vegas will prompt you to locate the camera/deck. Probably drive E, F, or G on most “normal” computers.
Browse to the folders there, and import proxies for the disc itself.Make sense?

You will lose a tremendous amount of quality if you attempt to archive as WMV and then re-render WMV to AVCHD or MPEG 2 for delivery on a BD.
You could archive as VC1 and store the files that way, then burn the VC1 files straight to BD, although I’ve not tried it. My BD discs have been MPEG 2 or AVCHD on output.Douglas Spotted Eagle

Format the drive using NTFS instead of FAT 32. Most off-the-shelf external HDD’s are preformatted for FAT 32. You can convert an existing FAT drive to NTFS.

At 70 minutes, you should be able to use the default DVD Architect render template. Don’t modify it.
you can also download the free DVD Prep tool from the VASST website, it provides trouble-free renders of both audio and video for DVD.One consideration, is your hard drive formatted to FAT32? depending on bitrate, you may be running into a file constraint.

You can put any script you’d like on the Toolbar using Customize Toolbar command.
Double click the toolbar, the Customize Toolbar option opens. Scroll down to find the script, double click that (or use the Add option) and it’ll now appear on your toolbar.Douglas Spotted Eagle
