I’m lost. You’re suggesting that changing the first letter of “the brown fox” blows away the animations? Nope…it doesn’t.
If you double click the text as mentioned, it will select the text.
I agree, the titler still needs work, but it’s not nearly as bad as some make it out to be. The beta teams figured it out pretty well with zero instruction from the engineers, and with no documentation of any kind.Douglas Spotted Eagle

Drag “The Brown Fox” to the timeline
Click the “Edit Text” icon on the titler toolbar, or zoom out in the preview area and double click the text.
Modify the text to suit.
Hit the Esc key or click the title bar to exit the titler (this is where many seem to lose the flow).

To gain precision, why not just double click the value, and input a value?
Why not set the font value in the Default Properties?That said, I do agree, font size should be specifically designated. However, this is also a 1.0 release, so expect some great things in the future with the tool.

You’ll _never_ get crytal-clear slo mo from interpreted frames, it simply cannot be done. High speed cam is the only way to fly to get crystal clear.
You can try an old method I’ve used, may be it will work.
~two tracks, same vid, both slowed identically
~Offset top track by half a frame (turn off quantize to frames)
~Reduce opacity to 50%
~add a very small amount of sharpening and unsharp mask (assuming DV source, be very careful if HDV/AVCHD source)Render out a small segment, see if that works for ya.

The easiest way is to save from Vegas in DV-AVI and let DVD Architect do the encoding. I’ve never had any problems doig it this way.
if you don’t mind losing quality, this is a fine method of working. The encoder in Architect is not as good as the fully featured encoder found in Vegas, not to mention the chroma loss starting with a DV-based master vs the timeline.

Comparing apples to apples…
If you have a camcorder using tape that records 25Mbps (HDV) and a hard drive unit recording 25Mbps HDV, the quality is identicaly.
If you’re considering AVCHD vs HDV, AVCHD loses in most situations, even at reasonably high bitrates of 16Mbps, whether it’s recording to DVD, HDD, Memstick, or CF.Douglas Spotted Eagle
