    Yes, you can.
Vegas does not, never has, and likely never will use a keygen system.
Maybe we’re talking semantics, but there is a registration code which you can access via your account on the Sonycreativesoftware.com pages. It’s there 24/7 with your original registration information and registration codes.
If you’re using illegal software, it may be that it won’t allow the install.

Vegas does not, and never has used a keygen. Only pirateware uses a keygen in regard to Sony software.

You may have applied it via script, in which case it can be removed via script, or you can look in the Project Media bin at the media containing the T/C. Or..it might be applied at the Project level, look at your Preview Window FX button (Green means it’s got a filter on it).

Add a new parent track above the parent/child relationship in that particular scenario.

Audio-only generally indicates a lacking codec on your machine. It has nothing to do with rar files or trial versions of winrar.
what is the source of the original files? From where are you downloading them?

it *is* sinister, and we both know that even here in this forum, and other public spaces, a VP from Sony has made clear that they’d put native P2 support in Vegas. So yes….I can say that the Sony Creative Software people have said they’d sign an NDA, and that they’d like to support DVCProHD natively in Vegas.

From my perspective, I can only assume that it’s a similar situation to when Panasonic misrepresented the image sensor of the HVX. In other words, it’s made-up scenario. Do we need to re-hash that one, too?

It’s not a spin issue, it is what it is. I suspect most folks are smart enough to realize that.

Raylight is a good alternative, so it’s probably best to quit trying to put lipstick on the pig and pass responsibility from Panasonic to Sony, wouldn’t you agree?

Don’t know when Marcus will have a 64bit compatible workflow. Sans Raylight, you must use Cineform or other converter. Panasonic has made it very clear they’ll never allow Sony users to have access to P2 via Sony software. Search these forums, you’ll find several threads on the subject.

September 30, 2008 at 1:59 pm in reply to: Quality loss when rendering mini-DVD

Bit rate is determined by resolution x length. You get to choose quality based on length, because resolution is essentially determined for you. There is no “right” bitrate. Ultimate S gives you a bitrate calculator to help figure out the “opimized” bitrate for the length of your project. Anything lower than about 4.5 is challenged, anything higher than 8.5 runs a risk of not being playable on some systems.

What codec is contained in your .mov file? DV? MJPEG? MPEG? something else?

Quit using Optimize. That alone will probably make your troubles go away.
