Go into the Menu Page Properties, End Actions, Command. there you have a default of HOLD but it can be changed to LOOP or Activate Button. Loop is want you want.
Be aware though that if the music needs to be cut right so there’s not an obvious “hey heres the loop point” unless of course thats what you want.

anything premiere can vegas can do and maybe even better or at least easier 😉
Place the images you want on top of the hearts on a track or tracks above the footage of the hearts position with either track motion or pan/crop and set a few keyframes for the movement and you should be good to go.

However, make sure the images (if a still or text type image) is a PNG with an alpha channel set so you can keep it transparent over the hearts.

Well the only thing I can think of is to lower the opacity of the clip and to do that go to the TRACK HEADER right click and insert an OPACITY ENVELOPE. Then you can pull it down to 0 or anywhere in betweeen and by using POINTS you can infinitly adjust the opacity of the clip. Just remember you are working at track level so anything thats on that track will be affected by the envelope so if you have other clips you DON’t want affected put them on another track.

If you copy the left channel and paste it on a new track then use a PAN envelope on both tracks setting 1 full left and 1 full right or anywhere inbetween to suit your taste you will now have a “stereo” sound and if you are just using 1 channel either left or right the sound will center so it’s an equal sound thru the front speakers both left and right.

Set the track to either LEFT or RIGHT ONLY whichever you need for the best sound.

Now CNTL C- the track and insert a new track below the first one. CNTL V the copy to the new track. Now you can play-perhap insert an envelope in each track to PAN LEFT and RIGHT (or of course you can adjust the PAN slider in the track headers) Now you would have a pretend stereo sound. Not true stereo of course but…

I find that sometimes I forget to label the tracks 1,2,3, etc and when I do that Excalibur won’t resize the tracks because it doesn’t know which tracks to resize-not saying that’s it but make sure you have labeled the tracks including the audio tracks.

HMMMM< I thought the FIle>Import>DVD Camcorder Disc feature showed up on all of Version 6 but it MIGHT have been added to 6d-if for some reason it’s not there you can hookup a DVD player to your passthru, be it a deck or camera and simply play the DVD into your computer using Vegas capture or Scenalayzer and now you have an AVI to work with instead of an MPEG. I have found it easier to do that so I don’t need to goof around with converting.
