Activity Forums VEGAS Pro can I use video event pan/crop effect with Excalibur multicam

    Not exactly sure what you’re asking. When Excalibur sets up the camera tracks for you, it DOES use Pan/Crop.

    Ed.. was not sure because i could not see any evidence in the “preview tally screen”..

    do I just compose a crop in the required camera track (after creating sync points and during the switching process – and then it takes care of itself.. not showing up in the tally view?

    may have to set up a couple of tracks and try again…

    Vegas 6 and exc. 5…

    I find that sometimes I forget to label the tracks 1,2,3, etc and when I do that Excalibur won’t resize the tracks because it doesn’t know which tracks to resize-not saying that’s it but make sure you have labeled the tracks including the audio tracks.

    You definitely want Excailbur to do the work for you as it also creates the additional tracks (and the tallys that appear on those tracks). If you’re adding another clip to the timeline after that was already done, you could copy one that’s correct and then “Paste Event Attributes” to the new clip. However, I just make sure they’re all on the timeline first.
