you should have no problem. Previous versions of Final Cut Pro open in newer versions.

You can also change sequence settings for individual sequences. I’d suggest you go thru all of the presets/sequence settings/etc. to get a feel for what’s there and how to use them. Good luck!

if you do it right after you add the transition, Command Z will clear it. Other than that, yes I believe you have to click to select it.

you can change the scale of your timeline, so the playhead stays on the screen.

Could be a file size limitation with a PC formatted drive….make sure your drive is formatted for Mac…(Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility/Format Your Drive) good luck!

native SD DV is 720 x 480. Capture and Sequence settings should be this. Yuu can resize your Camtasia to whatever you like, either within Final Cut by scaling, or by exporting from Quicktime player.
Not sure what your final output is, so it’s hard to say what to export at. If it’s a DVD….just export as DV, if it’s something different, just try to keep the same aspect ratio (360 x 240, etc.) so things don’t get squished. Hope this helps.

trash your fcp preferences (search here on how to do this), restart your machine, double check all of your capture settings. Hope this works.

check to make sure all your capture settings and your sequence settings are the same….if not, when you drag clips into your timeline, they come in unrendered. Hope this helps.

if you capture via ‘firewire’ through your camera or other firewire equipped device, no capture card is needed. Good luck!
