February 16, 2020 at 3:58 am in reply to: Stylized Nearest Neighbor Rendering?Eh well, there’s always the pixelate effect, I guess it depends if its a 3D or sprite based game. Playstation games had a wobble usually at the edges of the screen if you could find a way to replicate that . Dunno if this is very helpful, but here is someone who made a playstation 1 inspired version of the death stranding trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTgJHU3MB24

February 7, 2020 at 6:54 pm in reply to: how can I crop media directly rather than on a track (multicamera issue)It’s for sure clunky, I only did once when I wanted to switch crop settings very frequently on a long static shot. One other thing you could do is divide all the clips, then CTRL Left click select the ones you want to have a certain pan crop setting so that you can paste the settings on all of them at once, but that’s probably more work.

February 7, 2020 at 4:32 am in reply to: ProType Titler deprecated… I wonder why?Not a huge fan of Pro Type Titler. I only use it if I want to do a typing effect or want different color letters. Always found it janky and unintuitive. Haven’t gotten 17 but they were smart to combine the text tools as there are way too many. But they should have at least combine the functionality and maybe added some. I try to avoid doing text in vegas if I can, usually I just break out legacy text as its the quickest way to get a decent looking outline and shadow effect to make text pop. Usually I just use hitfilm for text, either by important clips for render or just making a transparent png to insert into the vegas timeline. I think it does text very well and it’s gotten better recently, and it’s a lot easier to use than titler pro.

January 30, 2020 at 5:12 pm in reply to: Parent motion reduces image qualityIf the cause is indeed the image resolution like the other guy said, or take a screen shot of the image in the state it’s going to be used in and use that instead. Have you tried rendering everything yet? May the quality drop is only in the preview window but not the final.

You can’t apply them to images or any other media (surprised you would want to as most of them are pretty bad) but any one of them can be done manually through vegas. Some of them are a little tricky but just pick the one you want to emulate and the users here will show you how to do it.

I always assumed companies lurked on forums relevant to them, interesting to see them out in the open. I’ve used newbluefx for quite a while. Would love more transitions like flow. Vegas is very weak in the transition department and would be great to have more that resemble ones found for the adobe suite.

Yes you can simply drag an image from the ends to make it longer. Make sure you adjust your keyframes after doing so, or just redo them.

Vegas Pro Edit is the full version of Vegas Pro and is typically $50 less than the next version up
Vegas Pro is the full version of pro + the dvd authoring software and maybe different bonus softwares sometimes
Vegas Pro suite is the full version of pro + several other softwares.

Vegas Pro Edit, it’s vegas pro minus the dvd authoring software. I believe you can track multiple points on one clip but if you are thinking of like having 4 points tracked each dedicated to the corner of a plane I don’t think you can do that, but I’m not sure. You can track effects, text, any picture in picture event. The process is a little janky, you creating the tracking data with the effect. Then you have to put the picture in picture effect on what you want to track to the point then you have to highlight those two events (yellow border highlight) and go to tools and the select the script copy pip track to object I think it’s called. You have to adjust the size and position of the object after putting the pip effect on it or else do what I do adjust it before hand, then create a present in pip that doesn’t change the size or position of the object.
