how can I crop media directly rather than on a track (multicamera issue)
Hi
I have a multicamera (3 cam) project where I wish to apply a crop to 2 of the 3 tracks/clips before combining into a multi camera track. The project consists of 3 clips approximately 4 minutes long (one clip from each camera).
Whilst I know I can crop once in the multicamera track, this isn’t ideal since I change the active camera every 6-7 seconds which means I’d have to crop approx 35 events.
If I crop the individual tracks before combining for multicam I get the following warning “Such items (such as envelopes, effects, or motion) will be lost during this operation. Continue?”
I note from this ( https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/957676#957676 ) thread that there could be a way to apply the crop to the source media possibly within the media window however I can’t figure out how to do this in Move Studio 15.
If I right click on a clip in the media bin and choose Media FX-> “Vegas Crop” I get a pop up window with options for X and Y crop however it doesn’t resemble the “normal” pan/crop window and it doesn’t give you a preview of the footage so I’m not sure how I could use it. I also note that presets I’ve saved in the “normal” pan/crop tool aren’t available in the media fx crop tool.
