motion tracking
Posted by Roger Bansemer on October 10, 2019 at 2:54 pmI’m using Vegas 14 and am wondering if the new Vegas has any new motion tracking features. I’m not talking about the pan/crop feature but rather having text track an object.

October 11, 2019 at 1:03 pmThanks very much Paul for your reply and tutorial. I’ve really been wanting to use this feature for a long time. Now all I have to do is decide if $250 upgrade is worth it.
Thanks again.

October 16, 2019 at 12:48 pmWhat is “edit”?
Also, wondering if you can pin several areas of an event such as a billboard to change what’s on it?

October 16, 2019 at 4:11 pmVegas Pro Edit, it’s vegas pro minus the dvd authoring software. I believe you can track multiple points on one clip but if you are thinking of like having 4 points tracked each dedicated to the corner of a plane I don’t think you can do that, but I’m not sure. You can track effects, text, any picture in picture event. The process is a little janky, you creating the tracking data with the effect. Then you have to put the picture in picture effect on what you want to track to the point then you have to highlight those two events (yellow border highlight) and go to tools and the select the script copy pip track to object I think it’s called. You have to adjust the size and position of the object after putting the pip effect on it or else do what I do adjust it before hand, then create a present in pip that doesn’t change the size or position of the object.
