April 21, 2020 at 1:50 am in reply to: How does one select an appropriate bitrate? So I’m not an expert on bitrates, I wish I was because I feel like my render typically are not looking as good as they should but this is partially because I use the MAGIX AVC and maybe also the NV Encoder, everyone says the old sony ones are better but they take a lot longer to render. Typically the bitrate being higher will make something look better, richer color depth and stuff like that. I don’t think rendering footage at a bitrate higher than the source footage will yield anything other than a larger file. I believe resolution and frame rate has an effect on what the bitrate should be. Over here you can see some youtube recommendations.

I guess I don’t understand what you mean by “fancy text box”. What are you trying to create on screen? The example you give is confusing.

If you work for yourself, I would stay. If you are having the same problem I’m having and not being considered for at least 75% of job listings because I don’t use premiere then I would begrudging start using it.

I dont know a way in vegas but if i can recommend hitfilm express which is free. You can do that by creating a text box and convert it to paragraph text by right clicking on it and picking the option. Then you can save the text as a transparent png for easy use in vegas.

February 19, 2020 at 2:58 pm in reply to: curved panning of video )or media in general)The only way i know to make a curved motion is to use rotation combined with some motion. You can drag the anchor point from the center of pan crop or track motion out to change the rotation and make it more subtle.
