March 11, 2019 at 9:49 am in reply to: Script for Pan/Crop Presets shortcuts2 Ideas both not great but here you go anyway. And this will only be useful if by close you mean zoom. If there is any animation then these wont help.
Rather than use pan/crop use track motion and set up 3 tracks and place the clips on the one with the zoom you want.
Create a faux multicamera edit by rendering all the clips several times with each zoom you might use then create a multicamera track and you can change them on the fly with multicamera edit mode. This way is particularly cumbersome but I’ve done it a few times and it was worth it for those instances.

March 2, 2019 at 11:28 pm in reply to: How to add short animations to a video?Well it would be hard to make something like that in vegas. Somethings you could try is using a black solid with ADD compositing mode, throw lens flares on it and animate them.
Another thing you could try is throwing the glint effect on the starry night noise texture preset, edit it a lot to make the glint show and in fewer places and then animating the progress. Also use additive compositing mode.

I’ve turned off most of the new stuff, and put back most of the old buttons. It’s not a bad feature but eats up too much room for me. For people who have the preview screen on separate monitors and also use higher resolutions i’ve sure it’s better.

I would rather use vegas, and I guess I still can for anything that doesn’t require someone wanting to be able to edit your project file. But freakin adobe.

At some point some of the plugins became this way. It does offer you more control but can result in a clunkier timeline for that sort of thing. Some plugins remain all in one when it comes to key framing. I doubt it would be too much help to you but I do go through just about everything about key framing using pro 16 in this tutorial. It’s kind of long and boring though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vRq7_wJgwY

February 21, 2019 at 6:32 pm in reply to: Totally unable to get a good render on youtube!Ah, black smoke youtube compression is not great with similar colored blotches that are moving. So things like sky, water, a bunch of smoke, a bunch of fire can tend to look not so great. I’m not saying reducing the bitrate will increase quality, just that increasing it may not be helping either.

Here are youtubes suggested specs, but I feel like the main one is bitrate which you’ve been going super heavy on. I don’t think you need the bitrate that high, maybe go around 10-15 million bps, try enabling 2 pass encoding and see if that helps.
