Instead of fixing it in post, in the future you should fix the problem at the source.
Sound waves are like rubber balls. They like to bounce around. The wooden panels on your walls is giving them a really nice service to bounce off, and then picked up by your microphones. The more uninterrupted the surfaces that are available for the soundwaves to reflect off, the more pronounced the effect. An empty rectangular room with hard floor will echo horribly, but if you fill it with carpet, furniture, drapes, etc, the echo dies.
To fix your issue, hanging foam padding, drapes, or even sheets or blankets to absorb these stray soundwaves will have great results on your future sound recordings.

Just some out-loud thinking here….I’d drop the bass, boost the mid-high range, flatten out the rest of the sound, add a SLIGHT echo, and maybe some ambient noise from a camera microphone in a large room to help sell it.
Or, if you can find it, Cool Edit Pro (which became the first version of Adobe Audition) may have a preset that would do the job quickly. Don’t know if the presets have carried to the newest versions.

Instant HD 1.1 does support interlaced footage….I just used it yesterday and the results were FANTASTIC!

check under the same tab for any leader settings….specifically the two black settings, based on the description of your problem…..anything checked in that whole area will be laid down BEFORE your media, using the same starting timecode. You must either uncheck those settings, or compensate your starting timecode, as well as the duration of each of the settings

Create one new bin, name it 1, and put all other bins in it. Twirl down. Create another new bin, name it 2, put all sequences in it.

No worries about fat32, in general terms. I’ve got 1 lacie drive formatted fat32 that I swap back and forth b/w windows and osX for when I’m doing stuff in AE or Premiere CS3, and taking footage to/from FCP….always in SD, and haven’t had an issue with it….capturing, playback, et al. Just gotta make sure you keep your clips under 5 minutes, though I don’t know how long a p2 clip could be before it chokes with the file size limit.

no no no….I’m proposing being able to access MY footage via wireless on my laptop to play around WHILE watching TV….I usually get inspired after seeing something in a show, or when I’m multitasking and watching TV and reading/watching tutorials. This way I don’t have to get off my butt to hook up my external hard drive.
Essentially, would one of these be passable to edit with at home https://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=377For what it’s worth, if I wanted to snag a TV show for my laptop, I’d get a TV tuner card and record it, or bittorrent it

Highlight all clips on original timeline and copy
paste to new sequence
highlight all clips
right click
remove attributes….check distort button….ok -
I’ve had that happen before, but it was with version 5.04…don’t know what i did, but there’s two things I can think to try.
1. Open FCP by double clicking a project file, rather than open via the application menu or taskbar. This kind gives what I’d call a ‘soft’ preferences reset. When you open FCP via application menu, it opens all the projects you had open the last time it ran, holding onto any extraneous data. Opening just a project file does just that, and nothing else.
2. at the top of the batch capture window when it first comes up, the one that asks what format you want to capture everything with….The top drop box should read “capture selected items”. If you get a dialogue saying along the lines as there’s other associated media, do you want to capture it, say no.

it should have been installed when you installed FCP. Check your applications folder.
