Young schmoung. I look better and feel better at 52 than I did when I was 35. Get over it.
A client who says they want the camera original is either ignorant or they’re ripping you off. Either case is bad news for you. You can’t deal with ignorance and you can’t make money if someone is stealing your work.
You must be getting paid for the many hours you waste on the upload. If you’re not, don’t agree to do it until you figure out a rate.
Even if you are billing for this totally unreasonable request, don’t upload your footage in a usable form. Burn in the timecode or your watermark.bogiesan

Drop by the mfr’s Web site and check for an OS10 version.
Forget software tools for live events.
Get reliable hardware scopes, they shoudl be included in your rental package for a live event. If you want to use DV Rack, just put it on a PC and lash it to your FCP setup using a suitable video output card which you already have if you’re trying to hack FCP as a live event recorder.

Such perspective effects aren’t 3d objects.

Yar, if you need an exact frame, extend your clip slightly so the final bit of time compression takes place after your desired end frame.
Time effects are difficult to master early in your AE career without folks like Mylenium and some tutorial practice. You might try searching the AE tutorials and the AE Calf forum for additional help in figuring out time effects.

Prefs>settings>render control, set to 100%.
RT selector on the timeline should be set to full quality, not playback (last selection at bottom of list).
This stuff is very confusing, truly.bogiesan

There can be a few different causes. Tell us why the clip needs to be rendered, that might help to know what filters or effects you’re applying.
But partial renders usually indicate a timeline issue or a bad source file. And you really will need to tell us what “fizzles out” means. Is there a render file associated with the clip?

> what is “user admin privileges”< run to your nearest bookseller and buy not one but TWO OSX Tiger books. Get Robin Willimas, David Pogue or Andy Inhatko's books. If you do not understand how to set up your OS for basic use, you should not be attempting to install an suite of apps like FCP yet. It's not particularly difficult to learn how to drive your Macintosh but you need fundamental training first. Once you understand the OS, using FCP will be much easier, too. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

The ability of some models to record directly to MPEG1 has been a great feature, too.
