    I have created a composition with motion blur(with layer checked) and exported it as a quicktime movie. The end result was a very weak motion blur and was a great difference from my comp preview window. Most of my AE settings as set as default and i had no such problems before. Can anyone advise me on what could be the cause of it? Thank you!

    Maybe you used a different background color while working and then rendered your clip out with Alpha (which in external viewers will show up against a black background and appear much weaker though the motionblur is calculated correctly). Other than cranking up the shutter angle, I can’t think of a thing to make it more pronounced.

    Sorry for cross-posting as I was meeting a project deadline and needed to solve the problem urgently.

    Anyway these are the solutions offered to me;

    If you render an interlaced output the amount of MB is effectively halved by the “doubled” frame rate of interlaced images, compared to the non-interlaced preview. Try increasing the shutter size in Comp Settings if you are unhappy with the amount of MB. – Andrew Yoole from Adobe Forums
