The motherboard doesn’t have integrated graphics. It only supports it if it is provided by the CPU. The AMD HD7xxx series of cards blows away all versions of Intel integrated graphics. My Intel i5 3470k has the Intel HD 4000 graphics but I disabled it in the BIOS when I built the system.
It is not worth running integrated graphics in an editing workstation. Ever. Always go with a stand-alone graphics card.

Any modern RAID 0 (hardware controller, not software) with Samsung Pro SSD drives is fast enough for HD video. If you want to work with 4k video, you’ll need to get break open the piggy bank and step up to something like a G Drive high end box.

Overpriced?? Compared to what?
As someone who’s been building custom workstations since 1999 the cards John recommended are worth every penny and a superb value.

I have the same exact motherboard and am using an AMD HD7850 2gb video card. Vegas runs fine with it. The card should be in that price range, maybe even cheaper now.

My DVDs come out great. Don’t fault the software…..
Many times crazy issues are caused by the smallest thing, thus easy to overlook.
If you have the time & ability, wipe the system drive clean with a reformat and reinstall Windows. Install Vegas and DVD Architect and NOTHING ELSE. Make your DVD and hopefully it comes out perfect.
If the DVD is good, reinstall the programs you need ONE AT A TIME, and make another exactly same DVD after each install.
You should be able to find the cause of your issue.

Are you able to play any videos in Windows Media Player, or any other video player on your system? My first inclination would be that you’re having a problem with your video card. Have you recently moved the system, or made any internal changes to your system (if it’s a desktop)?

I do not believe it’s possible, Scott. There doesn’t even seem to be a way to e-mail a member directly, since there is no e-mail link (or address) when you view a member’s account.

Pretty much every Windows system (if not all of them) already have Windows Media Player installed. Even if you update Windows Media Player it is not going to negatively affect Vegas Pro and its codecs.

What version of Vegas Pro are you using? The last few versions came in separate 32 bit or 64 bit versions, depending on which version of Windows you were running.
