Try disconnecting the Shuttle and edit some other video not captured from the Shuttle and see if it crashes. This will tell us if it’s the Shuttle or not.

With Quicktime installed, you should be able to edit the ,mov files.

I have a Panasonic TM-700 that shoots 1080 60p. It does not capture 30p, just 60p and four diverent bitrates of 1080i and Cinima mode which is the 24p. But you can shoot in 60p and render to 30p very easily, and there is no interlacing do deal with, just 60 perfect pic per frame. You’ll need an i7 to edit AVCHD smoothly, wheather its 1080i or 60p.

I just bought a Sony i7 Laptop and the specs didn’t show a firewire port, so I bought an Express slot to firewire adapter card. Then the laptop arrived in the mail and it has a firewire port.. Here’s where I got it, but they’re discontinued, at least from B&H Photo. I’m sure you can still find them if you sarch. By the way it handles AVCHD 1080 60p .mts files with ease on Vegas pro 10.
By the way, it’s even hard to find a desktop with a firewire port from retail stores like Best Buy. I set one up for a friend and had to buy a firewire card for it as non in the store had one. Here’s a link to where I got mine. They came down in price a little be fore being discontinued. Bummer. I have the Grey one. I’m sure you can find one somewhere though. Mine works better with Vegas than the 930 i7 desktop I built. It’s amazing John.

It looks like your using event pan and crop and cropping off the left side of the price. If your trying to resize the text this way, set the event pan and crop to default and use track motion to resize and position the text.

The only way to do that without chromakeying the slow guy with difficult masking is to shoot it with the forground guy moving VERY slow and speed up the clip.
