Everything is perfectly fine on my timeline, but after I render the audio goes out of sync with the video. I matched beats throughout the video so it’s kind of important.

It starts messing up after about 13 seconds have passed. I’ve tried changing clips in Song Vegas around the 13-second point but that doesn’t effect anything. it still goes out of sync when I render it.

I’m using AVI files, and rendering to the default WMV template in HD.

I’m rendering to my external hard drive which has 600 GB free.

I’ve tried rendering to different formats, saving to different locations, changing clips. none of it works.

and it’s only on this project — other videos render smoothly and the audio stays in sync with the video. so I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong because I haven’t done anything different with this video than I have with other ones. :/

I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 8, by the way.

Wow, That’s a new one. Are you using mp3s for the audio? If so, convert them to 48k waves and try it again.

And how do I do that? :3

I have encountered video and audio sync problems previously as well. However, mine was in working with AVCHD. However, I did find a work around that did help. I rendered out the video and audio seperately and then used tsMuxer in order to combine the video and audio. This did the trick.

Put the mp3 on the timeline and render as wav, custom, 48k stereo.

Mono if the file was mono.
