Yes, applying the color correction to an event effects only that event while using the track link will effect all the video on that track. Danny

Wheather it’s WMV, MPG, AVI, increasing the bitrate while leaving the resolution at 640 x 480 will improve the quality without changing the resolution or aspect ratio. Danny Hays

It’s looks like you selected 2.21:1 aspect in your render as, custom, video tab. Hope this helps. Danny

Capturing with firewire is digital data transfer which has no loss of quality. The quality is better if you capture directly from the camera live, via component without using a tape. As soon as you use tape or firewire the signal is now HDV, highly compressed with 4.2.0 color space. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

I would try copying the video from the CD to your hard drive. I’ve never made video CDs but since they play in most DVD players I would bet the files would be VOB. If Vegas doesn’t see the VOB, re-name it .mpg and try. Danny Hays

AVI is better for vegas as with most NLEs. MPEG is what DVDs are made from so if you dont need to edit, you can burn mpeg to DVD without rendering. Maybe that’s why the camera has that ability. Danny Hays

That looks like you rendered as progressive and that frame is showing the “Blend” of the lower and uper fields. Not every frame is like that is it? Danny

Is this after you applied the chromakey filter or before. Make sure you dont have the split screen enabled on you preview monitor. danny

thats what I was thinking. Looking at the Intensity pro so I can capture component in. Anyone know if it comes with a capture app or how do I capture as uncompressed and would I need a raid system to handle the drive IO?

Some of the Adobe CS3 packages came with Ultra. If you have acces to it, give it a shot. It’s a stand alone app but you can get great keys from almost any footage. Danny
