I always heard the they were on an 18 month cycle. If that’s true then something should drop next month right? Unless they are just going to hold it for NAB (if they participate).

Yeah I can understand your frustration. I can remember at last years NAB special event when they were announcing new features they repeatedly said “We hear/ed you”. Hopefully they are still listening to you.

Walter, I’ve noticed a tone change in your posts about Apple and FCP. You sound a bit bitter these days, like a guy about to make a switch. Your posts used to talk about everything working well in your shop, but now they are about Apple exlcusivity, buggy releases and the like. Have you noticed?

I mean really, does that sound like Apple? The most secretive company ever to shop around at NAB? Maybe I’m wrong but it goes against all logic for me.

When Shake went EOL, didn’t they say that they would introduce the next generation compositing tool called Phenomenon in 08? Or is that just a code-name?

There’s no HDMI Input like on the IOHD.

Why can’t they just implement a few more avid features. Like matching a still frame in the viewer to the orignal clip the still was made from, qiute simple but saves time!
Wouldn’t that just be “f” match frame or are you talking about something different?
