August 4, 2007 at 4:16 pmThere is no mention I could see on whether this can handle ProRes, it says it’s DVCPro HD. Anyone know about this?

August 4, 2007 at 4:21 pmThat’s right…it captures HD as DVCPRO HD. ProRes is strictly AJA territory.
Still, this is a nice lookng box, and has REALLY GOOD audio options. It is MOTU after all.

August 4, 2007 at 4:32 pmI read on another forum that MOTU is looking into ProRes support. It’s not due to be out for a while.

August 5, 2007 at 4:43 amWe’ve been talking with the product manager of this product at AJA. No mention of price yet. My guess is that it will be more expnsive than the IO HD and not have built in ProRes support.
Would be a cool box if it can do all they say it can do. We won’t know that until it ships, which I’m sure will be later than they expect.Michael Alberts
