    Hey Bill,

Did you see any demos in regards to tracking and color correction?

I can certainly respect the opinion of someone who was at the event last night but the rest of you saw a whole lot more than I did. I was switching between 4 different blogs just for a few photos. It sounded like the crowd was enthusiastic about what they saw but if you are making major decisions for your shop based on what was blogged last night then power to you. I need to see a demo for my self and get a few more questions answered.

As far as that editors lounge, I would only want to hear from those that were invited to the preview in Feb. and those at the SuperMeet. I’m not interested in some guy with an axe to grind getting drunk on stage or anyone from Avid.

    Hey Ryan,

It’s the “Band Pass” filter. You can season your settings to taste but what worked for me was:

    Frequency – 2000
    Q – 15

I did have to apply a Gain filter first though.

    Good Luck.

Walter, you don’t sound like a guy who takes those kind of vacations. You always sound too busy for that kind of stuff. 🙂

That sounds a bit odd to me. Why would anyone hate Spotlight?

  • Walter, how do you know what he knows about Post Production? I mean really? Wouldn’t you think that being CEO of Pixar and acquiring FCP for Apple that he would have learned a little something along the way? I know that you don’t like some of his decisions but let’s not act like the man is a moron.

Yes, that’s exactly what competition does. It’s a good thing. I’m not so sure that I would trust Adobe about now with PP. Last time they had a major beef with Apple, they recommended the PC (see PC Preferred), took their ball (Premier) and went home. Now there is this Flash thing. Mmmm… I don’t know.

I believe it will happen soon enough. Right now it does what I need it to do. I try to avoid the lane envy. You know how when you’re driving and the other lane seems like it’s going faster so you get over, then someone slows to turn so you get back over only to see the car that was behind you zoom by?

I hate to see people loose their jobs, but it is the way of the world right now. I would have to think that this means that they are pretty much done with the re-write of FCP and now they are trimming the fat. I really can’t see them selling because FCP still sells Macs. Period.

And who else is going to buy that big cash-sucking 30″ Cinema?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will give them a try today and post back. I also posted on Apple’s forum with no answers. It blows my mind that no one else has had this problem or are willing to speak up. These are the things you fear when upgrading to a new OS. The sad part is that this is the first time that I have done a clean install. I always thought that it wasn’t worth all the trouble. So on top of this problem I realize that there are some apps that I have to upgrade to use some of my favorite plugs.
